Sales Order:


A customer order can come to Arka in varius ways. Users can use Arka Sales order option to enter a customer order. Or Arka can integrate to Salesforce Sale Cloud, CPQ, Commerce Cloud or any other Salesforce applications or other apps on Salesforce to fetch order data automatically to Arka. 

Arka can also connect to your Shopify store front and fetch Shopify orders automatically or Arka can be intgrated with any third party solution with API integration capabilities so that order data entered in those systems are automatically taken to Arka.


All these orders either manually entered or automatically fetched by Arka, will be added under a single screen named 'OutBounds' in Arka.


Outbounds screen will help you  to bring all your  customer orders in to one place and plan the delivery. Arka will show all important informations like the available inventories against the orders, inventories on back order (purchase order placed with the supplier pending receipt from supplier) and quantities for which back order has to be created.  



To enter a new sale order in to Arka, 

Click on Sales Order tab > click New  > Add necessary fields > Save


You can use a Sales Order as Quotation to the customer.

 


Important fields in Sales Order:


Sale Order No: This is the document number field. You can add a suffix to the values entered here. But the last digit should be a number. Once you create the first Sale Order and add the necessary number in this field, for next Sales Order, if you just put '0' in this field, system will automatically take the next consecutive number.


Warehouse: This is the warehouse from items have to be shipped to the customer. To know more on setting up a warehouse please refer here.


Account: Select the customer from whom the  order is being received. To know more on creating a new customer, please refer here.


Price Book: You can maintain the sale prices of the products using price books. Please refer to teh user guide on price books for setting up price books for your products here.


If you had set up price books and if you want Arka to automatically take the prices from the price book for the products, select a price book here from which the prices have to be taken.


Note: If you want to add any instructions or notes to your customer, you can use this field. If you add a note, same note will be carried over to next sales order that you create. If you would like to edit the notes, you can edit in the particular sales order.


Add/Edit Products: Once you save above fields in the sales order, you can find a button named 'Add/Edit Products' on the right hand side top corner of the sales order screen. 


By clicking this, you can add the products/services to the sales order. For setting up a new product, please refer the user guide here.


If you have chosen a price book while creating a Sales order, system will automatically add the price as soon as you select the product.
